Women's Ministry Upcoming activities

Girls' Night Out!

Who among us couldn’t use an evening to relax with the girls? The Intown Women’s Ministry is hosting a wine and cheese night to kick off our ministry year. Join us Thursday, August 23, at 7 p.m. at Marcy McKean’s home. This will be a laid-back evening of relaxation and conversation, as well as a great time to catch up with old friends and make a few new ones. Marcy’s address is 2102 Oakawana Rd., Atlanta, GA, 30345.

Women's Ministry Fall Brunch

Ladies, join us for our Fall Brunch on Saturday, September 15, from 10 a.m. to 12, on the 3rd floor at Intown. We'll hear a message from Debbie Locke, a regional director in the Women's Ministry of the PCA. Debbie's husband is a Pastor at East Cobb Presbyterian Church. She has an amazing story of God's faithfulness and provision, even during challenging times. You won't want to miss it!! We will share a meal, worship, and fellowship together. Please bring a brunch item to share.

OASIS Women's Bible Study

Oasis starts on Thursday, September 6! Thursday mornings at Intown offer an opportunity for women to come together and receive nourishment from the Lord through his word. Just like a green oasis in the middle of a bleak desert, Oasis is a break in the busy week to satisfy our most vital needs – communion with Christ and each other. We gather from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to worship, fellowship and study. Childcare is available for a small fee. Please click here for details and registration.

WOMEN'S MENTORING MINISTRY

ABOUT

The Women's Ministry is excited to offer an opportunity for mentoring relationships to be formed at Intown. Following the Titus 2 model of older women mentoring younger women, we are looking for women of all ages to participate.

WHAT IS A MENTOR?

A mentor is a person who has followed Christ longer than you have and is willing to share her life lessons. A mentor acts as a trusted guide, a teacher or coach.

WHAT DOES THE MENTORING RELATIONSHIP LOOK LIKE?

Mentoring is the sharing of one's life, being willing to be transparent and vulnerable. It is passing on the love and wisdom you have received out of gratitude for what you have received. Mentors meet with their mentee a minimum of once a month in an informal, relaxed setting and as often as the two decide. The mentor and mentee make a one year commitment to meet together.

WHAT MENTORING IS NOT

• It is not a replacement for a discipleship group or Bible study.

• It is not a therapy or professional counseling.

• It is not only spiritual guidance but provides practical guidance as well.

CONTACT

If you are interested in being mentored or becoming a mentor, please fill out the form hereFor new Mentors, there will be a mandatory training on September 9 and 16 at 9:30 am in Room 301. Plan on attending both Sundays.
