Oasis Women's Bible Study Fall 2019

Started on Thursday, September 5. See the section below!

Women's Ministry Connect Weekend, Oct. 18-19

Plan to join us for a mini-retreat on Friday, October 18 from 7-9 pm and Saturday, October 19 from 9am-1pm. We will hear from Jackie Brown, who has been involved with women’s discipleship and ministry for her whole adult life. She has also worked in university ministry and church planting, and is raising her three awesome kids. She and her husband Bryan are part of Perimeter Church. We'll also hear from other Intown women, who will share what God has been doing in their lives. This will be a great time to be encouraged and to connect with one another. We would love for you to join us! Click here to register and contact Jean Joiner at jjoiner@intown.org for more details.

Moms & Tots

If you're a mom with little ones at home (generally ages 4 and under), we'd love for you and your tot(s) to join us one Tuesday a month from 9:30-11:30 am for play, fellowship, light snacks, and a word of encouragement! All of our gatherings will be at the home of Heather Weimer (1736 Carrington Pointe, Tucker, GA 30084), and our dates are 10/15, and 11/5. Questions? Contact Tricia Agan cell: 314-536-4424 or tricia.agan@gmail.com.

OASIS Women's Bible Study

Thursday mornings at Intown offer an opportunity for women to come together and receive nourishment from the Lord through his word. Just like a green oasis in the middle of a bleak desert, Oasis is a break in the busy week to satisfy our most vital needs – communion with Christ and each other. We gather from 9:30-11:30 a.m. to worship, fellowship and study. Childcare is available for a small fee. Oasis Fall 2019 began on Thursday, 9/5! Please click here for study options and registration.

WOMEN'S MENTORING MINISTRY

ABOUT

The Women's Ministry is excited to offer an opportunity for mentoring relationships to be formed at Intown. Following the Titus 2 model of older women mentoring younger women, we are looking for women of all ages to participate.

WHAT IS A MENTOR?

A mentor is a person who has followed Christ longer than you have and is willing to share her life lessons. A mentor acts as a trusted guide, a teacher or coach.

WHAT DOES THE MENTORING RELATIONSHIP LOOK LIKE?

Mentoring is the sharing of one's life, being willing to be transparent and vulnerable. It is passing on the love and wisdom you have received out of gratitude for what you have received. Mentors meet with their mentee a minimum of once a month in an informal, relaxed setting and as often as the two decide. The mentor and mentee make a one year commitment to meet together.

WHAT MENTORING IS NOT

• It is not a replacement for a discipleship group or Bible study.

• It is not a therapy or professional counseling.

• It is not only spiritual guidance but provides practical guidance as well.
